🌈 Why I Created Jazzy By Nature
As a psychedelic illustrator and bold graphic designer based in Manchester, I’ve spent years transforming walls, sketchbooks and digital canvases with trippy, Afro-retro-inspired designs. But I wanted to push my artwork off the paper and onto something you could live in. That’s why I started Jazzy By Nature—a clothing line for everyday people who crave statement style and soulful vibes.
This isn’t just fashion. It’s wearable art. Every piece is infused with the same psychedelic, 60s-and-70s retro flair that runs through my prints, greeting cards and homeware. I created this collection for the dreamers, the rebels, the festival-goers, the art lovers and anyone who wants to break away from boring basics and wear colour like they mean it.

🧵 How I Make It – My Print-On-Demand Approach. And limited bulk print runs.
I use a range of trusted Print-On-Demand companies to fulfil every order. My main focus will always be illustration and design, so stepping into the textile and fashion realm is a fun side adventure for me—an exciting way to see my 2D visuals come alive on 3D materials.
If you’ve met me in real life, you’ll know I live and breathe bold fashion. I love expressing myself through rich, eye-catching patterns, and fashion is simply another creative outlet for me to explore. I’m buzzing to make this little fashion dream a reality!
As a one-woman business, Print-On-Demand felt like the best fit for me right now. I don’t want to mass-produce clothes irresponsibly. Therefore each item ordered will be made specifically for yourself, and will also take time to be created (up to 2 weeks minimum). Fast fashion comes at a heavy price—just look at my country of origin, Ghana. So many beautiful beaches there are covered in mountains of discarded clothes dragged across the seas from the Global North into the Global South, adding to what’s called waste colonialism. I’m not claiming to be a sustainable fashion brand. But by offering slow, made-to-order, durable pieces, I hope to take an active step towards a better approach—because as Olivia Petter said: “You can’t buy your way to sustainable fashion.” (Read her article here).
To put my money where my mouth is, 15% of every clothing order will be donated to The Or Foundation, a brilliant charity working directly with Ghanaian communities to tackle the devastating impact of fast fashion waste, educate, and push for real change.
Honestly, I used to only print these clothes for myself—each piece felt like wearable art I’d treasure and re-wear for years. Whenever I wore them to gigs, festivals or creative events, people would always ask, “Where did you get that?” My answer? “You can’t get these anywhere.” Well—now you can. And I couldn’t be happier to finally say: “These are my own prints. And if you’d like a Jazzy original outfit—check out my shop!”
