This isn’t just any art print – it’s a vibrant love letter to Stretford and its one-of-a-kind community. Commissioned by the Friends of Stretford Public Hall, this psychedelic illustration captures the spirit, joy, and creative energy of one of Manchester’s most beloved landmarks. Trust us, it’s iconic. Not only because the community fought hard to bring it back (just like the Dutch took back their land), but because this building oozes inclusivity, quirkiness, and heart.
What started as a simple request to create a community poster became one of my longest, most challenging, and ultimately most rewarding illustration projects to date. This piece is the embodiment of everything Stretford stands for: a joyful, quirky, and creative hub full of vibrant, eclectic energy. From traffic cones (yes, you read that right) to the beloved community spirit, this poster sums it all up in bold, funky colour.
I was also commissioned to design one of THE Stretford Pride T-shirts, which just proves how much I nailed this community vibe. Whether you’re local to Stretford or just love quirky, festival-like energy, this art print adds a dose of creative brilliance to any space.
Perfect for:
Local Stretford or Manchester residents
Fans of bold, funky, and quirky artwork
Home decor, offices, or public spaces
Gifts for anyone who loves Manchester’s creative spirit
This poster is more than just art – it’s a celebration of community, creativity, and the joy that Stretford brings to the world.
